So you believe a device that closes you off from the rest of the world, and environment around you will succeed; rather than a device where you don't put anything on your person. Allows you the freedom to move about, speak, and use your hands is the way to go?
You can see a parent ok, with their child having a device on their head like VR walking across the street ok?
Let me guess this device should be used in your home? How about an emergency happening a...
It's going to be a very interesting time for these VR devices. I wonder if the mobile ones will be where the money is? Meaning could they do better than the console, and PC versions of VR. Also, if this HTC VR is also allowing Augmented Reality then I may have to give this one stronger consideration.
I really like the idea of AR and VR together as opposed to either one by themselves.
You are talking nonsense. Especially forgetting to add that they put up 1 Billion dollars for warranty. So when you mention rrod don't forget to add the part where they fixed the situation, and made it right for gamers.
The Xbox One has had more features added in the past two years than any console in history. Free backwards compatibility with Xbox 360 games, and soon original Xbox games, Cloud gaming with "Cloudgine", and a steady stream of exclusive games. I d...
Everyone knows you can do things without Kinect that you do with a controller. If you have used it,like myself and others who constantly do. It makes our gaming lives easier.
Microsoft even recently spoke about the percentage of gamers on the platform who use Kinect being constantly engaged. The first Kinect sold over 20 million units. Not sure that's a failure for peripheral.
Not to pick on Sony, but the PlayStation Move was a disaster. That was an abj...
For arguments sake; let's say this generation ends with the PS4 selling 80 million units, and the Xbox One selling 60 million units. Would you say the Xbox One is a failure?
I would call such a scenario a great gen for one, and good one for the other. With the current trajectory of both consoles I may not be too far off.
Look, exclusive deals are exclusive deals. I'm more happy for Kojima than I am concerned with people trying to make a case for this deal. At the end of the day if any gamer is left out because of an exclusive deal. Then guess what? Gamers lose out.
Its not any different than Rise of The Tomb Raider, or a historically multiplatform title like Street Fighter and Street Fighter 5 going full exclusive.
I'm a fan of Kojima from buying my first Metal Gear g...
That's a wonderful. At this point Kojima has more than earned the right to be a free agent, and create games for whatever platform he believes the game should be on. Sony should try to help make sure this game happens for the PS4.
The big question. When we will see the game? Perhaps not this generation?
These are interesting issues, and focuses they need to address. We'll see what Sony does for 2016. I think it's going to be a great year across the board for consoles and PC.
What's wrong with most comments I'm reading, and logic is that the market is being dictated by more factors that have less to do with facts.
For instance, if a larger install base means that your game will sell to more people then why did COD Black Ops do better on the Xbox One? Which from most would say is losing to the PS4 in terms of install base 2 to 1.
What happened to the attach rate of games being sold for comparison?
It wasn't hard for Holo Lens at E3 this year. Augmented reality is for sure easier to show off than VR. We still have yet to get a quality way to do so. Occulus Rift especially.
